While this isn’t a typical occurrence while praying outside an abortion clinic, it is definitely a typical response by those abortion supporters bold enough to actively defend the horror of abortion. Such opposition to the pro-life movement is rarely a thoughtful, reasoned response, but instead a lashing out of anger.
That’s not to say there haven’t been pro-lifers who haven’t also acted violently. The very rare occurrence exists. But there is no question of the contrast between the response of pro-lifers (overwhelmingly peaceful and prayerful) and the response of pro-aborters (most often one of anger and, as in this case, violence). Of course, it is no surprise that violence would be used to defend the violence of abortion. Please keep those out on the front lines of this battle in your prayers. It is often their efforts that force this issue into the public square to help us face the reality of the sin we commit.
