Media

I know this is just expected now. But we must continue to call out the media on their shameful coverage of pro-life events. If we don’t, they get bolder and bolder in their efforts to distort the truth.

This video should be watched and shared by any person of integrity – regardless of your beliefs:

Rick Sanchez, of CNN, is inept. That’s the nicest way I can put it. The guy is clueless. Very embarrassing for him.

To give those that need it some perspective…this is like a news correspondent covering Martin Luther King’s march on Washington and saying “well we have both sides represented” and then wondering aloud about “which side there are more of,” taking a guess, but then not being sure about it.

What a joke. The tragedy is that many people don’t see that. The disrespect marches on, as will we. [Keep Reading]

Fill your head with something meaningful (Like good free stuff)

Thumbnail image for Fill your head with something meaningful (Like good free stuff)

We spend so much time filling our minds with relatively meaningless trivialities like sports statistics, repetitive news headlines, gossip, idle morning-show chat, and intimate details of strangers’ lives (i.e. “reality” TV).  And some of those things have their place in life.  But do we balance that out with some more helpful stuff?  Should we not [...]

Saints – not Celebrities

Thumbnail image for Saints – not Celebrities

One of the things I love about our Catholic Church is that it is in the business of making Saints – not celebrities.
As Catholics, we have a central authority and structured organization that unifies us.  It is a saint-making machine.
Unfortunately, many non-Catholic Christians have no such unifying mechanism leaving them “belonging” to various preachers or [...]

Religulous is Ridiculous

Bill Maher recently came out with a new movie called “Religulous.”  It’s basically a “documentary” attacking religion and a belief in God.
Unfortunately, it’s another example of how many modern atheists simply, totally and utterly miss the point.  And I’m not just saying that because I disagree with them.  It’s because they make all of these [...]

Good Fridays: Catholics Come Home

This organization has been around for a little while now, but it’s still getting lots of attention. And many Catholics have not yet seen the excellent work they are doing.

What Super Bowl Ads Say About Us

There is an ancient saying that goes “you can tell everything you need to know about a culture of people by their Super Bowl Advertisements.”
Alright, I just made that up. But maybe you can tell a little something. After all – the Super Bowl is one of the most watched events in the [...]

What NBC Doesn’t Want You To See

CatholicVote.com wants to run an ad for the Super Bowl that makes one, simple, honest point that every human can agree on. That’s what makes this ad so powerful.
And that’s exactly why NBC rejected it.  They claim that they are not interested in advertisements involving “political advocacy or issues.”  Sure they aren’t.

MSM and Obama Disrespect Unborn as Expected

Obama is set to sign an executive order today lifting the ban on U.S. federal aid for abortions. This is no surprise.
Reagan originally put this ban in place in 1984. It essentially restricted organizations who receive U.S. funds from using that money to then perform or promote abortions with it. In other [...]

Fair Coverage of the March for Life?

Today is the annual March for Life.  It’s been held every year on Jan. 22 since the Roe v. Wade decision in 1973.  200,000 people are expected to show up today.
It’s always interesting to see how the secular and largely liberal media actually cover the event.  It is often that our only information we receive [...]

Good Fridays: Good health, good news and good grief!

It’s been a good week.
U.S. Seminaries in overall good health
After the Catholic Church’s PR battle in the US over the recent decade and the U.S. priest shortage, it is great news to hear that conditions are improving in the seminaries.
A bailout for the porn industry?
