Mary's nativity and the Salve Regina

The Church actually celebrated Mary’s birthday yesterday in the Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  Instead of the traditional “happy birthday” song…how about a little Salve Regina!

While first being a beautiful prayer, its musical renditions are among the most beautiful songs in the world.  And because of that it is enjoyed and appreciated everywhere by Catholics and non-Catholics alike.

The Feast of the Assumption of Mary

Happy (one day early) Feast of the Assumption!  There’s a short video below in case you need a reminder of what this celebration is celebrating!
