I go into Lent armed with a list of things that I am going to 'do without'. Yet, as Lent progresses the Lord Jesus seems to say "No, you are going to give me your Lent and I am going to show you what I want you to work out of your life."...He reveals truths about myself that I end up viewing, praying over and working out. Instead of successful Lent in my eyes it ends up a successful Lent in His eyes.....Praise be to our Jesus! Most of the time, I go into Lent with the determination of fasting from food.
