More shameless politicians

It is good to be reminded that, unfortunately, most politicians – while they seem like nice, honest people – are actually big fat two-faced lying hypocrites. And I mean that in a nice way. But this is ridiculous. And it happens too much on both sides of the aisle.

For a little context (if you’re not up on current politics), the Democrats have been threatening for the past year now to use the “nuclear option” (reconciliation) in the Senate to pass their health care legislation. President Obama has continually told us that the health care legislation will not federally fund/subsidize abortion. Not only that, but he has repeatedly criticized others as “bearing false witness” and spreading misinformation when they insisted he wasn’t telling the truth.

It has been quite clear that any of the serious legislation in congress up to this point has in fact covered federally funded abortions. And not just the status quo provided for in the Hyde Amendment – but it has pushed the abortion agenda aggressively further.

Up until now, Obama may have been able to technically hide behind the fact that all of the legislation in congress wasn’t “his plan”. [Keep Reading]

Congress restores D.C. abortion funding, spends more of your money

The Abortion president strikes again:
The $1.1 trillion spending bill the Senate passed yesterday includes major increases in funding for abortions.
The bill, which was sent to President Obama’s desk, reverses the Dornan Amendment, a 13-year-old ban on direct funding of abortions in the District of Columbia.
